Best Investments for young adults?
For young 20-somethings, what do you think is a great investment, with little money? When I say investment, I mean I will get something back in return. If stocks, then which ones? I am currently about to buy an ATM..have my money make me money. lol. Just wanted other people’s advice or thoughts on other kinds of investments. Thanks!
At a young age I would highly recommend investing your money in yourself. I know how tempting it is to enjoy the idea of letting your money do all the work in the stock market. With such a small amount of money to invest you will never achieve the rewards you can gain from starting your own business. I started investing in various stocks, mutual funds and bonds when I was 18. I opened an online trading account and began my quest to game the stock market. After a year of intense research I quickly realized what a waste the entire year was. Sure I gained useful knowledge and made a couple-hundred bucks but I was not taking full advantage of my youth. I took $1000.00 out of the account and decided to invest that amount in myself. I scanned the Internet for months trying to sift through the scams and garbage to figure out how all these small businesses were making money online. I purchased the necessary tools I needed to create websites and sell products through them. That $500.00 investment in the tools and in myself has not only had a return over 3,000% or $15,000 dollars, but it has made me realize that I can be a successful entrepreneur for the rest of my life.
The experience of starting your own business is the ultimate reward of this entire process. We all love making money, but the empowerment of making it on your own is worth its weight in gold!
