What is stock options for me? How do you use?
I just got a job offer that includes stock options 15 000. I guess it's a good thing (the other benefits are great), but I really do not understand what stock options are and how to use them. You mean I can buy 15,000 actions? "I can buy, no stock options? Imagine a scenario where a company offers more than 15,000 in pay X stock options, but the company B offers X + 15 000 wages without stock options. What would you choose?
Stock options are a good deal for the company and the employee. We give right but not the obligation, to buy company stock at a later date, hopefully at a price below the market. The company rewards you for that later date without further costs out of pocket. by the cost of your calls strike price is set at the meeting of its board post to date. Their options vest over a period of years. Once acquired, may exercise the options if the market price of the shares exceeds the exercise price. Most of the employees to buy and sell shares on the same day. It's free money. Of course, if the company folds or the population is not greater than its exercise price, the options worthless.
