Whats the cheapest way to view real time stock markets?
I don’t need to be able to buy and sell shares but I would like to be able to view what the markets are at in real time rather than a 15-20 minute delay. US UK and Irish markets only
Yahoo! Finance and several other finance websites already have real-time quotes (from the BATS exchange) for stocks traded on the NYSE, NASDAQ etc. in the US. You can also see real-time quotes and the order book directly on the BATS exchange website http://www.batstrading.com/ .
You won’t be able get real-time quotes from the NYSE, NASDAQ or ARCA for free on a website because these exchanges do charge data access fees.
I don’t know much about the European markets, hopefully someone else can answer that part.
