thus driving up share prices when there is no press release?
I own a few shares of gtxc.pk, and it was like 50% 20% yesterday and today. What causes it? How do I know if I can go up or down? no recent news on people and I see no inside information has dropped by almost half since May
Interesting question. We find that the NASD has amended the rules on the forced closure of short positiions 7 / 11. (See Article 3210) Before, GTXC has not been reported as a security threshold, but July 11 the rules changed, then 1) public becamse was strongly GTXC short and 2) the shorts were forced to close their positions within the mandatory provisions of the 3210 Clausura. Therefore, the pressure pushes the shares short and you can keep do this until the population was removed from the list of threshold.
