"I can buy intravenous solutions and pipes for domestic use without a prescription from a doctor?
With bird flu on the horizon and our government is so unprepared, I want to know which elements of health that can refuel without having to obtain a prescription. As nurse, you can easily start an IV and keep it in an emergency if the situation is as bleak as some predict. Problem is access teams. Anyone have any idea?
I doubt it. I work for a hospital pharmacy and maintain our license and certificate number on file, as do all sites that distribute to doctors. They only provide the premises licensed to deliver IV solutions (as a hospital pharmacy).
