What is the best way to make a fixed income investment?
i.e. At what brokerage, etc., can I find the best deal on a bond ? Municipal, corporate, agency, etc.
I would be very wary of investing in U S based debt. If you are looking for fixed income Investments, look outside the U S. GIM is a closed end fund investing in non- U S debt instruments. There are others. Friday the dollar collapsed. If the trend continues and there is certainly no reason to think that it might not, you do not want dollar demoninated assets. You want assets in Euros, Yen, Swiss francs, and Chinese currency. Oh I forgot to tell you. Friday GIM increased 2% in value.
