I’m going to participate in a fantasy portfolio contest so I wonder if anybody could give me any strategies of making big money in a short- term basis? Where should I been putting my money?? How can I do it? what should i look for??? Where can I find the information of which stocks are going to make the breakthrough??

Study charts and stay in tune with stock related news. If disaster takes out an oil field, prices will climb and oil stocks go up. If foot and mouth disease takes hold in the US, restaurants will get hit hard and their stocks will plummet. Cause and effect. Pay attention to the everyday world around you.
